MODE OF ACTION

The Bacillus subtilis spores survive feed processing and passage through the stomach. After reaching the intestine, they help maintain a favourable microbial environment and may produce enzymes that assist in breaking down feed nutrients. They also compete with undesirable microorganisms for nutrients and attachment sites. Methionine and lysine provide essential building blocks for body protein, muscle, feathers, eggs, and milk. Vitamin D₃ plays an established role in calcium and phosphorus absorption. Deficiency or imbalance of vitamin D, calcium or phosphorus can contribute to rickets in growing poultry and skeletal or eggshell problems in laying birds. However, this supplement cannot correct a fundamentally unbalanced ration by itself.
